# Developer tools

Choose the API, CLI, or MCP connection for your QwryAI workflow.

## Overview

QwryAI exposes developer and agent access through an API, CLI, and remote MCP service. Use the connection appropriate to your workflow and the access available to your workspace.

## Choose a connection

| Surface | Use case |
| --- | --- |
| REST API | Integrate QwryAI resources into your application or scripts. |
| CLI | Inspect resources and run supported commands from a terminal. |
| MCP | Connect a supported AI client to your workspace tools. |
| Website JavaScript | Control an embedded chat widget or register client-side action handlers. |

## Workspace access

Developer access follows workspace eligibility and the permissions of the credential in use. Keep credentials in your environment or secret manager, and use placeholders in shared examples. Consult Developer & Agent Access for the current authentication flow and endpoint addresses.
